Much of our work involves the reduction and pruning of trees. Sometimes this will be a complete crown reduction or thinning to improve light. We also carry out a lot of precise pruning to either lift tree canopies or prune branches to clear street furniture, buildings and also improve vehicle access to sites.

We are fully equipped to remove all sizes of tree in any location. We have worked alongside busy roads, over glass conservatories and along the banks of the River Thames to remove often dead or dying trees.

As well as trimming conventional garden hedges we can also carry out pleaching (intertwining rows of trees) and topiary (hedge shaping).

This allows a new / replacement tree to be replanted in place of an old one. It is also the best way of ensuring a tree does not grow back.

Tree Planting

We are capable of planting mature trees and can install and supply stakes and ties to secure any new planting.

We have several members of staff who are qualified to provide professional advice with regard to diagnosis of ill health, tree related advice, subsidence, heave, trees in relation to buildings, planning consideration and tree reports.

Climbing plants and vines

The pruning of Wisteria and Ivy account for a significant amount of our work. Opinions vary as to the effect Ivy has to buildings but we are able to remove or trim as required. Wisteria should be pruned twice a year to control it’s growth and encourage flower production.
